Red Wings' offensive cold spell continues against Blackhawks

"The Red Wings aren't scoring enough goals to win games.

It's probably to be expected considering the personnel they don't have in the lineup, but it's costing them in the playoff chase, and did again Sunday, losing 4-1 to the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Red Wings have scored three regulation goals in the last four games – in which they've gone 1-3-0. The victory was a 2-1 shootout win over Edmonton.

With the loss, the Red Wings dropped three points behind the New York Rangers (36-29-4, 76 points) for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. Washington (74 points) leads the Red Wings by one point – though the Red Wings do have two games in hand on both teams."
