Detroit Red Wings' new stadium land transfer approved by city council

At the Detroit Free Press -
"The Detroit City Council approved legislation to advance the new Red Wings arena project today despite opposition because there is no guarantee Detroiters will be hired to work at the arena once its built.
City Council President Brenda Jones, Councilman James Tate and Councilwoman Raquel Castaneda-Lopez voted against the transfer of public land for $1 to support the project."
