Michigan Headlines

Buzzing around the web, I found a couple items off the somewhat beaten path.....
Seems Michigan Govenor Granholm is also pursuing selling the lottery operations to the private sector as other neighboring states are attempting. The state's looming budget shortfall may force the issue but opponents have raised concerns over the effect on school subsidies which rely heavily on lottery revenue. I am shocked that Michigan could have financial trouble after an election where one candidate emphasized their economic accumen ........
Speaking of bait-and-switch...
a post at True Anomaly reports the Alcona County Treasurer is accused of embezzlement of taxpayer funds. Seems he fell for one of those Algerian bank frauds.....
Maybe the Gov could use one of these to help correct her continuing budget problem .....
