After win, Granholm says plan for Michigan is validated

Detroit Free Press:
"Gov. Jennifer Granholm said this morning her re-election was voters’ validation of her economic plan for Michigan.

She also said Democratic victories are a strong message to President George W. Bush that his policies are wrong for the nation.

“His plan is not the plan of the citizens of this country, and he needs to change direction,” she told reporters at a Detroit restaurant, 11 hours after she triumphantly declared victory Tuesday night.

Appearing rested and with her family joining her for breakfast, Granholm said she can better move forward her plans with a Democratic House.
