Picture this: Detroit without a professional basketball franchise

The downsizing of Detroit could be hitting the sports world as Pistons owner Karen Davidson looks at a possibility of selling the region's only professional basketball franchise.

Although nothing has been confirmed -- Davidson says she's inquiring about it -- there is the possibility that the Pistons could leave Detroit entirely.

Obviously it wouldn't be the first basketball team to leave the Motor City -- well, technically Auburn Hills, but that's a different issue. The Shock was booted to Tulsa last year.
